Lungu moves steps to declare State of Emergency

Just as he promised he would, President Edgar Lungu has moved to declare a state of emergency.

President Lungu’s  declaration comes in a wake of sporadic gutting of public property and sabotaging of national installations like Zesco pylons. The President, however, says his declaration is subject to approval by the national assembly.

He said there are unpatriotic Zambians who want to make the country ungovernable.

” This is not an easy decision to make but I have no choice but to make it because these events have shown that we are slowly sliding into lawlessness,”  said Presidentl
Lungu.

A military take over might be the best option, although brutal but we would know where we stand. This would also bring some brutal awakening to the Zambians who seem to know only peace and stability (equivalent to DOCILITY)
