Community Development and Social Service Minister Emerine Kabanshi says the Zambia Agency for Persons with Disabilities (ZAPD) 2017-2021 strategic plan will be a necessary tool for improving the standards and promoting the right of persons with disabilities.
“I am convinced that this operational plan is a dynamic that will help address disability issues,” she said.
Speaking at the launch of ZAPD
2017-2021 strategic plan, Kabanshi said through the ZABID vision of inclusiveness, Zambians must ensure that persons with disabilities are included in all developmental activities. Kabanshi challenged Zambians to change the altitudes towards people with disabilities by acknowledging their actions and taking into account their voices to promote inclusive socio-economic development.
Kabanshi promised that Government will support the implementation of the strategic plan order to move towards an inclusive society which provides opportunities to all persons with disabilities.
