Milupi Sniffs Tribalism In HH Incarceration

Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) president Charles Milupi has urged the Patriotic Front faithful to concentrate on rebuilding their dwindling popularity instead of being concerned with the day to day whereabouts of their opponent, United Party for National Development (UPND) vice president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.
And Milupi says he is disturbed why the Zambia police only arrested Tongas alongside their leader Hakainde Hichilema in the treason case yet there were many people from many other tribes who could have suffered the similar consequences in the Mongu road motorcade fender-bender course.
Milupi said in an interview that it is unfortunate that the Patriotic Front Youths that have excess time of doing nothing are taking to face book talking about the were about of Mwamba instead of help find solutions to the sliding popularity of the party that has been heavily influenced by its unfulfilled promises, increased commodities of prices and the general poor performance of the economy.
Milupi has been strongly linked to the position of acting UPND president following the incarceration of Hichilema and sudden disappearance of Mwamba.
The PF aligned media houses reported that Milupi has taken over business of the UPND, with Mwamba seeking asylum in Madagascar for fear of passing through what Hichilema is currently going through.
But Milupi insisted that he is party president of ADD which is in alliance with UPND, MMD and Peoples party where he is privileged to be chairperson.
He stated that those peddling lies that he is taking over the position of Mwamba who just arm chair critics who want to divide the opposition alliance that is giving them sleepless nights.
“Give me a break will you? I am the opposition alliance chairperson but not a member of the UPND so how can I chair their internal meetings. As I have said let them concentrate on building their image than bring divisions in our alliance,” Milupi said
And Milupi has urged President Edgar Lungu not to be living in denial but accept that things have gone berserk, taking a route of bad to worse since the PF took over leadership of country.
“He must admit that the living conditions for most households have worsened. He must be concerned that people have lost their will to live because they cannot afford medical fees, school fees because of the increased prices of commodities that have been triggered by the increment of electricity tariffs. He must be concerned that the human rights abuses have degenerated under his leadership. But unfortunately Mr Lungu is living in denial,” Milupi regretted.
And Milupi is puzzled that only Tongas were implicated in the treason.
“…And why it is that only Tongas were targeted in the so called offence. Looking at names of all those who were implicated they are all Tongas. Isn’t this tribalism they lay accusing fingers on President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND,” Milupi wondered.
