President Lungu Inauguration Goes Live In Six Nations

president-lunguThe inauguration of President-elect Edgar Lungu and his running mate Inonge Wina will be broadcast live on television in six southern Africa countries.

The proceedings at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka will be watched on Zambezi Magic Dstv channel 160 by audiences in Malawi, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia.

“The beaming of the proceedings of the inauguration is a fulfilment of a pledge made by Multi Choice Africa Chief Executive Officer Timothy Jacobs,” according to a statement.

Meanwhile, four heads of state and representatives of governments and international organisations have confirmed their attendance of the inauguration ceremony for President-elect Edgar Lungu and Vice-President-elect Inonge Wina tomorrow.

These are President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe who arrived last night, President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, President Ian Khama of Botswana and President John Magufuli of Tanzania. Kenya vice-president William Ruto also arrive yesterday.

The inauguration will be at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka from 08:00 hours.
