Mr. Mutati says there is need for people to support President Edgar Lungu so that he delivers to the people’s expectations.
He urged Christians in the country to continue praying for President Lungu.
Mr. Mutati said this after attending the mass at St. Leo the great parish in Kapatu, Lunte constituency.
Meanwhile, Parish priest Fr Amos Chushi said the parish has dedicated this week to praying for President Lungu for guidance and strength.
And MMD National Secretary Raphael Nakachinda says the various arms of government have a legitimate duty to discharge their functions correctly and diligently.
Mr. Nakachinda says the MMD expects institutions such as the judiciary to expeditiously guide the nation on the interpretation of the law.
Meanwhile, Former Home Affairs Minister Lameck Mangani says Zambians should not allow a few selfish individuals to hold the country at ransom.
Mr. Mangani says the political drama that has characterized the country in the recent past have the potential to compromise the security of the nation.
The former Minister notes that there is need for an executive to be put in place for the country to move forward.
The duo was speaking in an interview with ZNBC in Lusaka.
